Lava Hot Springs

We just spent a 3 day weekend in Lava Hot Springs, it's an annual trip that we make and it is always a good time with family. This year mom and dad stayed home but the Britt's and the Hakala's headed out. Kai didn't want to miss out on the fun so he came along for the ride, it was good to spend time with him. He is one of my little heros and I love him more than he will ever know! The weather was a little damper on our fun but we made the most of it.

Kai will be celebrating his 9th birthday next weekend and since they will be up in East Canyon we decided to do a small celebration in Lava with the group of us. We had all pitched in and bought Kai one of the new Lifetime soccer goals. Thank goodness for that, it kept him busy when we couldn't. Happy Birthday Kai, love you!

Kai and my first little girl Koda, she hasn't been feeling well but she sure is in a good mood when her buddy Kai is around!

Kai was dead set on NOT jumping off the platforms, however, we were able to talk him into getting a wrist band "just in case" he had changed his mind. He went up to the first platform and jumped! What the What?! Next thing you know he was walking up the stairs again and went right pass level one, this kid was going to 2.... he did have hesitation on level 2 but after a couple of minutes... SPLASH he had done it! He was so excited and proud of himself, it was sure cute to watch him and I was sure proud of him too!

And world, this is little Miss Tielyr! If this picture doesn't tell you anything about her I don't know what will. I absolutely love this little ball of adventure, she is such a hoot!
