Run Bambi Run!

So over the last 6 months we have obviously had quite a bit going on, new changes, challenges, and definitely new memories. But let me give you a quick update on what Tyler and I have been doing. As you all know once October hits, so does the hunting season which means when the men hit the mountain, the ladies hit the mall. PSYCH! Not this year, this year I put the shopping on hold and was going to put forth my efforts in to being a hunters wife. Well, unfortunately for me I'm not just any hunters wife, I am a Britt's wife! Tyler and his dad are two dedicated/crazy guys. What I pictured to be a nice ride on the 4-wheeler with an occasional stop to glass the mountain turned into a 12 hour day of hiking, sleeping, whining, and more sleeping. I only went out a few times but there was nothing in site, just a mountain full of sage brush and doe! When I went with the boys for Tyler's elk hunt it was great, there were elk all over the place and it was a fun game of hide and seek. Well the deer hunt is nothing like that, you really have to be patient and have really good eyes, neither a good quality of mine. Tyler on the other hand has both of those qualities (after all he is married to me), he came home with a 2x3 while I came home empty handed. I was so excited for Tyler, and I know he looks forward to this time of year where he can spend time with his dad. It is definitely a good time for the two of them to get away and do what they love to do. I might give it a go again next year but I'm not committing to anything yet!
